Love wasn't a part of my speech vocabulary when growing up. I used "LIKE" instead because of the power the word love carries. Occasionally when I used love I really meant it with every fibre in my body. But what do we see now? Love is the most abused word in the English Dictionary. Love has lost its linguistic value. Maybe the world is showing more love now than when I was a kid but I guess not. It's rather the opposite. It's like an improper fraction or an indirect proportion the mathematicians may say. Now we use love more often but we don't show it. What is love? It's simple, it is a verb. That's my simplest definition of love. The Holy Bible didn't give an exact definition of love but gave characteristics of love which I summarise as A VERB. Love is a verb (the things we do or the actions we take defines whether we are showing love or not) but not a noun (just a word we say to others which aren't backed by actions). Everyone can say I
